What about security?
Sting Publications includes secure processing of your orders using SSL
encryption. Your orders are processed and stored on our secure commerce server and
protected by a unique user ID account and password.
How secure is modern cryptography?
Very secure. It has been calculated that a 128 bit symmetric key would on
average take more time to crack by brute force than the solar system has left before the
sun goes nova and swallows the earth! Similarly, it is estimated that it would take
roughly the same amount of time for someone to crack a 1024 bit asymmetric key. That's a
very long time! It is far more likely that you accidentally give away your pass phrase
than that the actual ciphers will be cracked. As someone said, "human beings crack
far more quickly than modern ciphers".
